Folly Gardens Veterinary Clinic runs across four branches (per its website summary) and is also listed as a veterinary nurse training facility. Reviews describe quick access to appointments (including being seen within 15 minutes of calling) and proactive communication, such as sending updates when a pet needs treatments. Several owners also mention monthly pet plans and “reasonable” pricing, while one long-term client reports a serious sedation/recovery handling concern during a nail clip/dew claw visit (muzzle left on through recovery, followed by vomiting once removed) and an initial weight-recording error that they corrected.

Great people that take care of all needs pet related. The lady I work for has a kitty cat that is a patient with Folly Gardens in Bishops Cleeve. They have wheelchair access in the back and are very accessible and accommodating for these needs. Reasonably priced and excellent pet plans for pet health checks and operations alike. All around a great place to take sick or injured pets.

After nearly twenty years with Folly and great treatment for our two dogs, we had a bad experience. Our JRT went in for his nails to be clipped and a dew claw looked at. Firstly the receptionist wrote down the wrong weight for the dog, which I thankfully corrected as he has sedation, and the wrong weight recorded could mean too much or too little sedation given. Not a good start. He usually has a muzzle on until he is sedated. This time they left the muzzle on even after he was sedated and even when he was recovering. When I went to pick him up nearly 3 hours after dropping him off the muzzle was still on and he looked distressed. I questioned if the muzzle had been on the entire time, I was told yes. The very second I took it off he projectile vomited twice, which meant he had wanted to be sick for quite a while as some dogs do after sedation, but he couldn’t because the muzzle was still on. He could have choked on his vomit. He was later sick another two times that day. He could also not have been offered or had anything to drink whilst recovering as the muzzle was not removed. We have had this treatment done several times and the muzzle has always been taken off as soon as they are sedated. This will do nothing to help him at future visits to the vets. We have sadly heard more negative reports about Folly, and I seems to be since selling out to a larger corporate company. We are now considering if we want our dog to remain going to Folly !

The staff here are amazing. They're always really friendly and happy to help, plus the phone is always answered super quickly! We've called them a couple of times recently to request appointments for our puppy and both times we've managed to get an appointment right away (one was even just 15 minutes after calling). They send updates whenever our puppy needs any treatments and the prices are very reasonable, especially when taking advantage of the monthly plan. Honestly can't recommend them enough!

My first impressions of Flooy Gardens Veterinary is a well run, polite and professionally run place. Both the receptionist and vet were polite, helpful and attentive to my kitten's needs. I was able to make an appointment, for a routine checkup, quickly. Everything was well explained to me and I felt reassured that my kittens were being well treated.
